Crossroads for Women has provided gender-specific substance abuse treatment in Maine for over 30 years. The nonprofit agency offers a continuum of care for women with substance abuse issues consisting of 4 primary levels of treatment: outpatient, intensive outpatient, short-term and long-term residential. Other services include Maine's only children and mothers residential programs, DEEP evaluation and treatment, and services for those affected by a loved one's addiction.

Crossroads for Women’s philosophy is that substance abuse treatment for women must build upon and respect women’s unique needs to focus on self-determination, choices, positive relationships and connectedness. All services are provided in a secure, nonjudgmental environment so women can remember who they wanted to be.
