Programs for Friends & Family Members
Crossroads for Women's Outpatient Program offers support, education and counseling designed specifically for family and friends of women and men who struggle with addiction, regardless of their choices around treatment.
The Outpatient Program also offers “The Effects of Addiction on Friends & Family” to anyone who has a loved one with a substance abuse problem, male or female, who may or may not be in treatment. The 4-week educational series explores the basics of addiction, the recovery process and how to be supportive of the loved one while also taking care of you. Classes are held throughout the year at Crossroads for Women's outpatient office in Portland, ME on Tuesday evenings in a positive, supportive environment. Certificates of attendance are available to all participants, and light refreshments are served.
Friends and family members that are interested in these services or would like to attend the next educational series can call 207.773.9931 for more information.
